Fiber company further enhances Hudson Valley connectivity, sponsors iconic venue, offers fair tickets to new customers
MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. (July 24, 2024) –Greenlight Networks (“Greenlight”), the leading fiber-to-the-home provider in New York State, has partnered with Middletown’s iconic Orange County Fair Speedway to bring its sought-after high-speed fiber internet to the venue. This collaboration ensures seamless connectivity on Greenlight’s 8 gig business-class broadband connection for Speedway staff to work and stream content. The network will also enhance connectivity for other events hosted at the fairgrounds, including the upcoming Orange County Fair.
“We are happy to invest in a sponsorship of the Orange County Fair Speedway and support the community’s passion for motorsports, as well enhance other local events at the fairgrounds. Our network will help to ensure the Speedway can stay connected, work at the speed of light and enable live action so fans can enjoy events and races to the fullest,” said Michele Sadwick, Greenlight’s Chief Revenue Officer. “Greenlight believes in the power of connectivity and the role it plays in bringing people together. We’re honored to be a part of such a vibrant community here in Orange County, and this great partnership with a community staple.”
As the oldest continuously operating dirt track in the U.S., the home of the historic Eastern States Weekend and a popular weekly racing venue, Orance County Fair Speedway is well-known for regularly attracting crowds to its races – and visitors to its online broadcast streams. Greenlight’s fiber internet services are being provided to the Speedway at no cost to the organization and in return, Greenlight Networks will now serve as an official Speedway sponsor.
Greenlight is actively building its high-speed fiber to the home network in Wallkill, with hundreds of homes already connected and another 2,000 homes scheduled to be connected in Wallkill and Goshen before the end of the year.
To reward Orange County customers for making the switch to Greenlight, new residential customers that place an order will receive a complimentary Family Four Pack Admission & Unlimited Ride Package for the 2024 Orange County Fair, which is being hosted on the Speedway’s fairgrounds this month. The Greenlight team will be on-site at the Fair from July 27 to 28 to answer questions about fiber internet. Any resident that places a new order at the Fair for a serviceable Wallkill address will receive free installation.
“We’re thrilled about our new partnership with Greenlight Networks, and the whole engagement has gone really well so far. The service was installed so quickly that it didn’t disrupt race operations in any way and we saw immediate results,” said Michael Gurda, IV, Manager, Orange County Fair Speedway. “The fiber network just handles our digital experiences so much better. It’s fast and reliable. It’s even enhancing how our staff, vendors and partners communicate on-site.”
Bob Deislinger, Managing Director, AFT Events, added, “It’s great to see Greenlight and the Orange County Fair Speedway teaming up. Just the other week, our Orange County Half-Mile race was livestreamed to Progressive American Flat Tracks’ official livestream partner, FloRacing, using Greenlight’s fiber network. This allowed our fans around the world to watch those race day moments together without missing a beat thanks to the flawless connectivity.”
Currently, more than 175,000 homes and thousands of small businesses and multi-dwelling units in 27 municipalities can access Greenlight’s fast fiber Internet service. Local residents can visit Greenlight’s Hudson Valley web page to learn more about Greenlight’s services. Greenlight’s network is currently available in parts of Wallkill including the Wallkill Victory neighborhood in Mechanicstown. Circle, Disco and Mabel neighborhoods in Scotchtown are in development, and Greenlight will be breaking ground in Goshen this fall.
