Greenlight Networks Installing High-Speed Fiber Internet Infrastructure in Niagara Falls; Residents Can Begin Placing Orders Today

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (Oct. 28, 2024) – Greenlight Networks (“Greenlight”), the leading fiber-to-the-home provider in New York State, is advancing its expansion efforts across Western New York with a major construction project to install its high-speed fiber internet infrastructure in the City of Niagara Falls. This highly anticipated expansion is slated to bring Greenlight’s ultra-fast internet to more than 6,000 local residents and businesses by the spring.

“We’re grateful to have strong advocates in the Western New York region, especially here in Niagara Falls,” said Mark Murphy, CEO of Greenlight Networks. “Local leaders really understand just how vital reliable internet in today’s digital age is, and their enthusiasm for our expansion plans has been remarkable. I’m excited to share that residents can now start placing orders for our high-speed services, offering unmatched speed, reliability and dedicated customer support.”

The company has enlisted the help of local contractors to aid with the build out of the network. Greenlight has already begun construction in neighborhoods between Niagara Falls Blvd and LaSalle Expressway and anticipates customers will receive service by the end of the year. Preliminary pole work will also be kicking off east of Niagara Falls expressway in the coming weeks with multiple neighborhoods in the southeast part of the city on the docket for 2025.

“Niagara Falls deserves the highest quality connectivity, and residents deserve more choice in their internet service. Both of these points, make the addition of Greenlight Networks to our community a game-changer,” said Niagara Falls Mayor Robert Restaino. “Reliable, high-speed internet is essential for everything—from education and remote work to economic growth and healthcare services. With Greenlight, we’re not just enhancing the lives of our residents, but we’re shaping the future of Niagara Falls. For these reasons, we couldn’t be more excited to welcome Greenlight Networks to our city.”

Residents can check their address for service availability and stay updated on construction progress by signing up with email on Greenlight’s website. Once construction is complete, customers who pre-ordered services will be notified to schedule in-home installation by a Greenlight Networks’ fiber technician.

Greenlight Networks currently services North, East and West Buffalo, as well as Cheektowaga, North Tonawanda, and the Village of Lancaster here in Western New York, and has a presence in 29 municipalities across the state. Since the company’s entry into the Buffalo-Niagara Region in 2020, Greenlight has successfully increased its network access to more than 28,000 homes, rapidly growing its network footprint at an unprecedented rate.

With each expansion, Greenlight customers are gaining access to its multi-gig service offerings (up to 8 gig) and symmetrical upload and download speeds. Unlike many of its competitors, Greenlight maintains a transparent pricing model with no data caps, contract commitments or hidden fees.
