Greenlight Wins at Digital Rochester’s GREAT Awards!

Digital Rochester held its fifth annual GREAT Awards ceremony at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center on Tuesday.

Winners were announced in eight different categories for the Greater Rochester Excellence and Achievements in Technology (GREAT) Awards.

OnCell won the Community Technology Award for a do-it-yourself application builder that allows users to create educational mobile tour apps.

ClearCove Systems won the Going Green Award for its “Harvester” disruptive technology system that harvests organic waste water to increase energy production and cleaner water.

RIT MAGIC/ACT e-NABLE Lab won the Healthcare Technology Award for its work in establishing a global network of volunteers to use 3D printers to design, fabricate and distribute prosthetic hands for children for free.

NovaSterilis won the Technology Services Award for developing a process with automated technology that helps sterilize products that could not previously be sterilized and used in surgical implantation.

Carestream NDT won the Optics, Photonics & Imaging Award for its launch of the HPX-PRO Portable CR System. It allows manufacturers to inspect critical components without causing damage to parts in remote field imaging.

Morgan Sinko and team, from NullSpace, won the Student Achievement Award for developing the first low-cost virtual reality system.

Adam Bates of Paychex won the Visionary Leadership Award for implementing a mobile first and user first approach within his team to create usable applications and provide cohesive experiences across Paychex.

Greenlight Networks was honored with the Rising Star Award for being the first Internet service provider to provide gigabit Internet speed in Rochester.
