Greenlight Networks Partners with DIRECTV to Offer Fiber Customers High-Speed Streaming and On-Demand Content
Leading fiber Internet provider adds DIRECTV Stream offering to help more customers “cut the cord”
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Oct. 3 2023) – Greenlight Networks, the leading provider of high-speed fiber Internet services in New York State, announced today that it is partnering with DIRECTV and will offer a streaming service that runs seamlessly over Greenlight’s fiber-optic network.
The new DIRECTV streaming service will provide access to live local TV channels, on-demand content, and premium programming. Customers will have the option to access the service using a DIRECTV Gemini device, like a traditional cable box, or through the DIRECTV STREAM app on a smart TV or streaming device.
“We’re truly excited about our partnership with DIRECTV. This collaboration is a solution to the industry’s growing demand for high-quality TV streaming services coupled with reliable connectivity,” said Mark Murphy, Greenlight CEO. “Each day, more customers are considering ‘cutting the cord,’ but they also want to be sure they can access news, sports, and premium programming. With our DirectTV packages, we can offer that while also delivering the best entertainment experience over fiber.”
Greenlights’ fiber Internet service is known for its fast synchronous speeds that traditional Internet providers simply can’t match. Through the partnership, customers can enjoy uninterrupted streaming, whether they’re watching the big game, catching up on their favorite series, or engaging in video calls—all without the frustration of buffering or lag.
New and existing Greenlight customers can add DIRECTV with packages ranging from $64.99 to $154.99, per month. Also included is access to an unlimited cloud DVR, which gives customers access to all their recordings, whether they’re at home, or on the go. Customers will be billed for the service through a new DIRECTV account, separate from their Greenlight account.
