(Nov. 3, 2023) – Greenlight Networks, the leading provider of high-speed fiber Internet services in New York State, is proud to announce that it has been named the recipient of the 2023 Community Impact Award by the Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce. This recognition underscores Greenlights unwavering commitment to and significant positive impact on the local community and Cheektowaga residents.

The Community Impact award is given out annually to organizations that exemplify outstanding leadership in both the professional and community spheres. Greenlight’s consistent demonstration of excellence, particularly in the areas of continued organization growth and infrastructure expansion, played a pivotal role in securing this honor.  Greenlight’s growing impact on the Buffalo region, specifically within Cheektowaga, has been transformative for the local community.

At the core of this recognition is Greenlight’s significant financial investment in Cheektowaga as the company recently announced more than $1 million in the infrastructure expansion projects to be completed throughout several neighborhoods of Cheektowaga. This investment not only enhances the broadband infrastructure for fiber service availability, but also creates job opportunities for local contractors and other key professionals.

Since its founding in 2011, Greenlight has established meaningful partnerships with various non-profits, community centers, fire halls, and libraries. Greenlight is currently partnering with South Line Fire District No.10 in Cheektowaga to host its network equipment in exchange for complimentary high-speed fiber broadband service at Station #1 on French Rd and its training facility on Boxwood.

The award presentation took place at the Chamber’s Community Excellence Awards event held on Thursday, Nov. 2^nd at Salvatore’s Hospitality on Transit Road in Depew.
