Greenlight Revving Up Fiber Internet Expansion Plans for 2025

FAIRPORT, N.Y. (Jan. 30, 2025) – Greenlight Networks (“Greenlight”), the leading fiber-to-the-home provider in New York State, is set to expand its high-speed fiber internet network to an additional 2,400 local homes in 2025; today announcing its latest construction plans to reach new neighborhoods throughout Fairport and surrounding areas within the town of Perinton.

The fiber company, which has built a strong reputation as a provider serving Fairport residents since 2015, currently offers internet access to more than 6,700 homes and credits steady customer demand for the reasoning behind the continued network growth.

“The Fairport community has been an integral part of Greenlight’s growth story since we first began serving the area nearly a decade ago,” said Mark Murphy, CEO of Greenlight Networks. “We’ve seen firsthand how high-speed internet access transforms daily life for families and local businesses and keeps neighbors connected. This expansion reflects our ongoing commitment to meeting the community’s evolving digital needs with reliable, high-performing service.”

Network construction has already begun within the neighborhoods between Fairport Nine Mile Point Road and Watson Road with the anticipation of connecting more than 400 homes. Additional construction work is progressing along Captiva Xing and local residents in the area are already able to place orders for service.

“The Town of Perinton recognizes the importance of providing residents with alternative internet service options,” said Ciaran Hanna, Perinton Town Supervisor. “Greenlight’s fiber internet expansion has been met with enthusiasm from our community, and for good reason. As more residents rely on high-speed internet for work, education, and daily life, having access to reliable and affordable service is essential. We appreciate Greenlight’s commitment to addressing this need and look forward to seeing continued progress in expanding connectivity for Perinton residents in 2025.”

With each expansion, Greenlight customers gain access to its multi-gig service offerings (up to 8 gig) and symmetrical upload and download speeds. Unlike many of its competitors, Greenlight maintains a transparent pricing model with no data caps, contract commitments or hidden fees.
